I love games that have a simple optional app. the creation of this app brings this game into that category. thanks a million.
Great way to speed up the game. We used to use the book of encounters, but after an unintentional glass-of-water tipping recently we had to turn to this app for that play session. We found it much less cumbersome, and will continue to use it in the future. Just be aware that in the current version (v1.5) the "With Intel" and "No Intel" choices are backwards (i.e. "No Intel" yields more difficult encounters most of the time), but Mark is a super receptive developer and said he's going to fix that. That's pretty amazing to me that he's still willing to update it considering the small player base of this game. Honestly I'm surprised that we have such a nicely-functioning app for what is essentially an out-of-print game from a small defunct board game developer. Hats off to making it happen and for keeping the app working.
Really cool! I need to break this game out again. I forgot how fun it was :) This app will make things way smoother! Great idea, thanks a lot!!!
Playing Agent of SMERSH at a convention can easily lead to hoarse voices, as the reader shouts to be heard in crowded noisy areas. This app solves that! However, a sampling through the app showed various misspellings and 'odd' grammar which should be fixed. Also, strange as it sounds, having the ability to select a specific Book of Encounters X.Y.Z entry would be good for when the cards (including the non-book encounter cards being mixed in) are used in a game, but the group doesn't want to pass around the books.
This makes playing the game much faster and smoother. The only minor thing I wish to see is the addition of a "start over" button. Nevertheless, highly recommend if you have the game!
If you play Agents of SMERSH, a lot of the playing time is spent looking up encounters in the giant tome that came with the game. This app removes all of that work, making it a much faster and more pleasurable game to play. It could do with a few minor tweaks to make the process a little more seamless but it's perfectly usable as it is. Essential for all good spies.
